Steri-7™ should be applied regularly, ideally daily, as part of a thorough cleaning protocol.

The seven day protection Steri-7™ provides does not mean a ‘once-a-week wipeover’ will suffice. The key to effective hygiene lies in thorough and regular cleaning.

The advantage of Residual Barrier Technology is that should an area be missed one day, through human error, the barrier will provide protection against contamination until that area is cleaned the next day or day after that.

Best practice for cleaning surfaces

For easy and effective application to worktops, food trays, doors, sinks, toilets, telephones and fabrics, Steri-7™ should be sprayed directly onto the surface, wiped evenly with a cloth and allowed to dry.

Best practice for cleaning larger areas

For cleaning larger areas, such as floors and walls, the procedure should be as follows:

  • Apply Steri-7™ to the surface, paying particular attention to heavily-soiled areas
  • Spread evenly ensuring you cover the whole surface
  • Leave to dry

Any surface that becomes lightly soiled after application can be wiped using a damp, clean cloth.

For more heavily soiled surfaces, you should reapply Steri-7™ and spread evenly.

If you regularly clean a large area of floor and/or wall space, Steri-7™ LAF (Large Area Formula) is a low-foaming cleaner designed especially for use with a mop or cleaning machine. Even at 10 times dilution it provides 7 day protection against harmful germs and bacteria, providing an especially cost-effective cleaning solution. If using a mop, we recommend you clean the mop handle with Steri-7™ before use.
